Moms Service Mothers Day 2021

Years ago  I gave my mom what I call the Dali Lama Massage. It consisted of me asking my mom  to lay down and I simply held her hand in a loving manner probably for the first time in my life. A family member entered the room looked at the scene and asked her was everything all right. Mom answered "do you see the smile on my face,"

then mom said something to the effect "this is what you do for people when they're dying" I said back " isn't it great to be treated this way when you're not dying but still alive enough to enjoy it" I enjoyed my time and for the first time in over many  years and wanted to spend time with my mom again.

I had seen first hand the relationship my mom had with my father and I do not think my father was emotionally present for her nor after what she told me about her relationship with her mom did I feel that her mom   did anything like this either.

My mom Bessie Bob  couldn't give me the gifts she was never given, but in giving me the gifts she did have, she allowed me the space to find the gifts I needed and I tried to return those  to her .  And actually as I think of it all of her children had a similar experience.

Thank you mom I love you.

 Boy George on Bonnie Lippel

" I did have people around me who were watching. Bonnie Lippel, my personal assistant, was really considerate. There were times when I took heroin when she just sat on the end of my bed all night just holding on to the sheets, hoping nothing would happen, making sure that if I did start vomiting, she would be there to save me. I forgot all those things, and it’s only now that it’s all come back to me. I’m very grateful for that."   link
